Oak
Density of wood - 690 kg / cubic meter.
End surface hardness - 57.3 N / sq. mm
Texture - large texture with annual layers, large vessels, core rays in the form of tongues of flame, dark strokes.

Very strong and beautiful cutting boards are made from oak.

Walnut
Wood density - 680 kg / cubic meter
End surface hardness - 62.0 N / sq. mm
Texture - Beautiful texture with dark streaks

Walnut cutting boards have a very dark, chocolate color and look very nice and impressive in combination with light woods.

Hornbeam
Density of wood - 735 kg / cubic meter.
End surface hardness - 88.4 N / sq. mm
Texture - Texture is weak

Hornbeam cutting boards are light, almost milky in color, very durable. Beautiful and spectacular hornbeam looks combined with darker woods.

Acacia
It is considered as the hardest hardwood in our country.
Density of wood - 830 kg / m3.
End surface hardness - 94.2 N / sq. mm
Texture - Stripes, rings, thin lines

Acacia cutting boards are very durable, light brown in color.

Glue

During use, the cutting board comes into contact with food. Therefore, adhesives containing formaldehyde must not be used. We use Titebond Ultimate III Wood Glue (USA). This glue is officially approved for gluing parts in contact with food (dishes, cutting boards, etc.).

Terms used in the article:
  • The density of wood is the ratio of the mass of wood to its volume. Density is determined by the amount of wood matter per unit volume. The density is expressed in kg / cubic meter (kilogram per cubic meter) or g / cubic cm.
  • Hardness is the ability of wood to resist the penetration of harder bodies into it. The hardness unit is HB (Hardness Brinell). 1 HB is equal to 10 MPa or 10 N / mm2.
  • Texture determines the decorative value of wood.
